Old Bust Head Brewing Company

The former World War II industrial structure at Vint Hill in Fauquier County, Virginia was transformed into Old Bust Head Brewing Company. The adaptive reuse project repurposed a disused building and brought new business to the area. Adaptive reuse architecture plays a key role in land and resource conservation.

The existing structure had masonry walls, heavy-timber columns, beams, and roof rafters. We incorporated these elements along with new industrial materials and products to enhance an updated industrial aesthetic.

The complex consists of the Brew House where beer is made and bottled, a Tap Room with a stage where live music is performed, a party room, an outdoor trellised Beer Garden, and administrative offices.
